Brett Favre has advice for Aaron Rodgers in free agency

Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Farve thinks four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers should follow the blueprint of his NFL career.

After spending 16 years in Green Bay with the Packers, Farve was traded to the Jets before the 2008 season and spent one year in New York before joining the Vikings for two seasons. Now, he thinks Aaron Rodgers should consider heading to Minnesota as well.

“By all means, sign with them,” Farve said on "[The Will Cain Show](https://www.foxnews.com/video/6369897665112)" on Tuesday. “They got a really good football team. They’re loaded at pretty much every position. They made it to the playoffs last year. They got a tremendous fan base, much like the Packers. If you get the opportunity, that’s a good place to win. Of course, you gotta play the Packers then.”

The Jets and Rodgers are parting ways this year after two disappointing seasons in New York for the four-time NFL MVP. His official release will come at 4pm on Wednesday.

Rodgers’ 2023 season ended after four snaps when he tore his Achilles in Week 1 against the Bills. Expectations going into 2024 with a healthy Rodgers were once again sky-high, but the 41-year-old’s time in New York was generally a disappointment.

In 17 games last season, Rodgers went 5-12. He completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
