Miami Dolphins adding target for Tua Tagovailoa in NFL free agency

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine had a career-high nine touchdown receptions during the 2024 season. The Miami Dolphins’ wide receivers had eight touchdown receptions during the 2024 season – six by Tyreek Hill and two by Jaylen Waddle.

In 2025, Westbrook-Ikhine will be among the wide-receiver targets for Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, a former Alabama All-American.

Westbrook-Ikhine and the Dolphins agreed on a two-year, $6.5 million contract, NFL Network reported on Tuesday, that will bring the wide receiver to Miami from the Titans as a free agent.

Players becoming unrestricted free agents this offseason through expiring contracts can sign new deals starting at 3 p.m. CDT Wednesday.

In his fifth season with Tennessee since joining the team as an undrafted rookie, Westbrook-Ikhine reached career highs for receiving yards and touchdowns as he had 32 receptions for 497 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024.

Westbrook-Ikhine had the NFL’s longest reception in 2024 with a 98-yard touchdown catch in a 23-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 17.

In 78 regular-season games, Westbrook-Ikhine has 126 receptions for 1,773 yards and 19 touchdowns.
