Alisson Becker was involved in a penalty shootout for the first time as a Liverpool player at Anfield on Tuesday night. It ended in heartbreak against Paris Saint-Germain.
The French giants moved into the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a 4-1 shootout success. They had won 1-0 on the night, levelling up the tie on aggregate after the Reds' win in Paris a week ago.
Alisson was the hero in that encounter, keeping an array of PSG shots out before Harvey Elliott snatched a goal for the Reds on the break late on.

The Brazilian performed well again at Anfield, although he was unable to keep out any of the four spot-kicks taken by the visitors in the shoot-out.
"It was the first time at Anfield for me, many years here, but the first penalty situation," Alisson told ESPN Brasil (h/t Sport Witness) after the game.
"I had a few with the national team, in the FA Cup [final against Chelsea in 2022], we won, a different situation. I had successes, failures, penalties depend on a lot of things.
"Everything is very focused on the goalkeepers, but also on the takers. And anything can happen. I try to prepare myself in the best way to make the best decisions. It's not always what brings us success and today was the case...
"Based on our performance today, we definitely [fell on our feet]. In the first leg, we didn't deserve anything, not even the win, to be honest.
"And today, maybe we deserved the win. We couldn't do it, their team also defended with everything they had, throwing themselves at the ball, the goalkeeper had a great game. Then, anything can happen on a penalty."
The Liverpool goalkeeper also sent a warning to his team-mates not to be too down on themselves. The Reds are set to win the Premier League title this season and on Sunday they will take on Newcastle United in the final of the Carabao Cup.
"We don't have time to complain," he continued. "Today is a day for us to think about everything we could have done better, but tomorrow we'll already have our focus on the final, which is very important at the end of the week."
