Arsenal should have their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals confirmed later this evening after the last-16 second leg against PSV. The Gunners welcome their Dutch counterparts to Emirates Stadium on Wednesday having won the first leg 7-1 in the Netherlands last week.
Barring an unthinkable turnaround, Arsenal will meet either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid in the next round with their second leg clash also set to take place tonight. The holders are currently 2-1 up in the tie, but a difficult match at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano awaits to seal their place among the final eight teams.
Following Liverpool's elimination at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal will likely face either the French champions or Aston Villa in the semi-finals assuming they make it past Spanish opposition in the quarter-finals. Before even thinking about that round, though, Arsenal have to play PSV again.
Regardless of their six-goal advantage, Arteta will want his team to pick up another win and is therefore expected to name a strong team. Rotation, defensively in particular, however, is still expected because of their lead and with a big game against Chelsea to come this weekend before the March international break.
The likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior, Ben White and Jorginho all starting is a possibility, but a similar front three is likely to be named because of the injury problems. However, Martinelli could make his first start in over a month after returning off the bench against Manchester United this past weekend.
Raheem Sterling, meanwhile, may play the full 90 minutes especially as he can't feature against his parent club at the weekend. A double change look to have already been hinted at with Arsenal posting two pre-match graphics.
The first saw Myles Lewis-Skelly front and centre with it likely he does start after he played just 32 minutes on Sunday afternoon. Jorginho is the player included on the second and - again - the expectation is he will feature prominently while one of Thomas Partey and Declan Rice is rested.
With so many defenders on the fringes wanting minutes, this could be a perfect opportunity to deploy Lewis-Skelly in midfield while Zinchenko or Kieran Tierney start at left-back. The latter, in what could be his final appearance for the club, could even be utilised at left-wing with Riccardo Calafiori at striker another possibility.
