The latest Liverpool news as Darwin Nunez posts a social media message after his penalty shootout miss during their Champions League defeat against PSG.

Darwin Nunez has broken his silence after Liverpool's defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. The Reds lost to the French giants in a penalty shootout in their last-16 tie at Anfield on Tuesday night after drawing 1-1 on aggregate.
Liverpool lost their penalty shootout 4-1 to PSG, with Nunez one of four spot-kick takers for the Reds. Mohamed Salah found the back of the net from the spot, but Nunez and Curtis Jones missed their penalties to see Liverpool exit the competition while Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue all scored for PSG.
Arne Slot named Nunez on the bench for the second-leg tie at Anfield, instead choosing to include Diogo Jota in the starting line-up. Nunez was introduced in the second half in place of Jota, and was Liverpool's second penalty-taker in the shootout after 120 minutes on the night.

A day after Liverpool lost to PSG, Nunez has broken his silence for the first time since the defeat at Anfield. The Uruguay international issued a seven-word message to Reds supporters following the club's Champions League exit.
"Get up and carry on, as always," wrote Nunez on X, formerly known as Twitter. Slot and several Liverpool players went up to Nunez after the striker's penalty miss to console the 25-year-old, while the head coach was full of praise for Nunez following the striker's crucial goal in the 3-1 win over Southampton at the weekend in the Premier League.
"That is also the life of a No.9," said Slot last Saturday. "You go from missing a chance to scoring an important goal to missing a chance again.
"But today [on Saturday] and especially in the second half. You also saw the work-rate he [Nunez] can bring to the team. But the main thing that happened in the second half was we started to play in a different tempo."
