Taurean Prince had his best scoring night on Tuesday for the Milwaukee Bucks since February but he could have gotten the best result if only he made a better decision on the defensive end against the Indiana Pacers.

Prince takes responsibility for the play that led to Tyrese Haliburton’s game-tying 3 point shot that turned into a four point play after he was fouled by Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Doc Rivers’ immediate reaction to the loss was pointing to the players’ role after the time out before the game winning play.
He thought some personnel did not stay within the drawn defensive play.
“There was no reason to switch and we just did,” Rivers said.

“He was open the whole play and so there was miscommunication there and I always think that’s on me and my staff, not on our guys and we’ll have to figure it out because that’s a play that should never happen.”
Prince came forward to take responsibility.

“I’m supposed to stay with him.”
That’s what Prince told reporters after the game.
“I should’ve just stayed with him. I put that on me. A lot of other things we could’ve done better but that particular play, now that I look at it, I definitely should not have gave him so much room.”
He also insisted that Hali took a really difficult shot but he still could have done better.

“I mean, he still made a tough-ass shot in my opinion. I still, as far as what I could have personally done better, I should have stayed connected to his body,” he said.
The 30-year-old small forward, who joined the Bucks at the start of the season, actually had a great night sans the defensive lapse. He scored 18 points, four out of eight from the three point line.
This is his highest scoring output since scoring 19 points on March 10 against the Golden State Warriors. His highest scoring game as Buck is 23 points.
