Chelsea are already in talks to sign star winger this summer. This deal can cost them €100 million. Barcelona are also in the race but the Blues can have an advantage over them.
The star in question here is Rafael Leao of AC Milan. He is 25 years old and mainly plays as left winger. Leao has established himself as one of the most beautiful players on the ball in his time at Milan. He has so far played 251 games for Italian giants.
Leao was looked upon by Chelsea in 2022 but the deal failed that time. Milan wanted the Blues to pay his €150 million release clause. The Portugese stayed at Italy and continued to impress. However, he is now once again linked with exit.
Milan are set to miss out on UCL spot for the next season. This will force them to part ways with many of the key stars including Leao and Theo Hernandez. In addition, they may even make these players available on discount.
Chelsea & Barcelona already in talks to sign Leao
According to CalcioMercato, Leao’s agent Jorge Mendes has been working on the winger’s exit since months. Mendes is in talks with both Barcelona and Chelsea who are showing strong interest to sign Leao in summer.

AC Milan are demanding €100 million for Leao which is lot less than his release clause. But, Barca may still struggle to agree the deal due to their tough financial status. This may hand a important lead to West London club.
Chelsea are set to part ways with Nkunku this summer. In addition, they may also opt to let Joao Felix leave. Mudryk is already banned whereas the club is not fully convinced with Jadon Sancho.
This will need a proper replacement on left side of the wing. Rafael Leao can be a great addition to the Chelsea squad. He can be convinced by the Blues and qualifying for UCL will make this task even more easy.
