It was a horrible season for the Tennessee Titans after going 3-14, finishing fourth place in the AFC South, and extending their playoff drought to three years.
The poor record makes sense, though, when looking at their quarterback numbers between Will Levis and Mason Rudolph, who combined to complete 336-of-529 passes for 3,621 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions.
It's clear the Titans need to make some sort of change at the position, and Cory Woodroof of For The Win predicts that will be Mac Jones, who in his four-year career has compiled 10,590 passing yards, 54 touchdowns and 44 interceptions.
"The Titans look poised to draft a quarterback after not addressing the position so far in free agency, and Jones could be a reliable No. 2 on the depth chart to help a rookie," Woodroof wrote. "If the rookie needs a season to develop, Jones isn't a bad bridge starter. Perhaps Brian Callahan could coax better play out of the former first-round pick?"
In 2024, his production was limited, appearing in 10 games, starting seven in place of an injured Trevor Lawrence, and completing 171-of-262 passes for 1,672 yards, eight touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
However, during his rookie season, Jones proved to be a viable starter for the New England Patriots, starting all 17 games and leading them to a 10-7 record, which happens to be their only winning season in the post-Tom Brady era dating back to 2019.
That year, he completed 352-of-521 passes for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a 92.5 passer rating while making the Pro Bowl and finishing second in AP Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
Even if the Titans signed Jones and it didn't work out, there's not much risk involved, as Spotrac places his market value at just $5.4 million annually.
