Newcastle fans will be decked out in black and white ahead of the Carabao Cup final all thanks to their shirt sponsor.

The Magpies head to Wembley on Sunday ahead of the Carabao Cup final, where they will take on Liverpool. They will be going all out to lift their first major since 1955 as they take on the Merseysiders.

The game will also give them an excellent opportunity to finally avenge their defeat in the final of the competition back in 2023. And their fans will certainly be looking the part thanks to their main shirt sponsor Sela.

As per Mail Online, the company have provided every Newcastle fan attending the final a free, limited edition scarf. The gesture is thought to be the biggest of its kind for a football match - Sela having also given away 6000 scarfs for the Magpies’ FA Cup clash with Sunderland last season.

They have reportedly worked closely with supporter group Wor Flags in an effort to stir the atmosphere ahead of the game. Sela - a Saudi company - have another surprise planned at Wembley ahead of the game but will reveal that closer to kick off.

And while the fans and sponsors are getting their affairs in order, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has some thinking to do when it comes to his side ahead of the game, particularly in goal.

“It’s a difficult call but it’s not the only one. I have difficult calls in a few positions which shows we have a good squad. The goalkeeper situation hasn’t been clear because both are high class.

“It’s the same in any position, you look for the best man in the job – you take form, training and everything into consideration. We do that for every position. We have tough calls to make.”

“Everyone has to be ready because football has a way of surprising you continually,” Howe added. “We need the whole squad focused on Sunday now and everyone has to be ready to perform.”

Away from the Carabao Cup, Newcastle also have another route through to a European spot this season courtesy of their Premier League position. Howe’s side sit sixth and just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, with their next league game pitting them against Brentford at St James’ Park after the March international break.
