The NFL cleared things up Tuesday when it came to the Arizona Cardinals’ upcoming draft capital.
By releasing the full allotment of compensatory picks given to teams who lost premium talent via free agency last year — Arizona didn’t receive a compensatory pick — the league officially set the order of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Without further ado, here’s Arizona’s full list of picks as of Tuesday afternoon:
– First round: No. 16
– Second round: No. 47
– Third round: No. 78
– Fourth round: No. 115
– Fifth round: No. 152
– Seventh round: No. 225
Where did the Cardinals’ 7th-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft come from?
While the first five picks for the Cardinals are their own selections, the seventh-rounder is not.
That pick originally belonged to the New York Jets, who dealt the selection to the Kansas City Chiefs in a 2023 trade centered around wide receiver Mecole Hardman.
Arizona traded pass rusher Cameron Thomas to Kansas City for the pick last September.
What happened to the Cardinals’ own sixth- and seventh-round picks in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft?
Arizona shipped off its 2025 sixth-round pick to Denver in exchange for edge Baron Browning midseason. He just re-signed on a two-year deal this free agency period after a promising half-season with the Cardinals.
Arizona’s own seventh-rounder was used in the 2022 trade for wide receiver Robbie Chosen (then Robbie Anderson).
