Over the recent days, Sir Jim Ratcliffe conducted a series of interviews, giving his full thoughts on the current state of things at Manchester United.
With The Red Devils in 14th place in the Premier League with the Europa League as their only hope of European football for next year, the INEOS owner is desperate for the squad to turn things around.
Ratcliffe pulled no punches in the interviews as he labelled some of the squad “not good enough or overpaid”.
Naturally, United manager Ruben Amorim was asked about these comments in the pre-match conference ahead of the club’s home leg against Real Sociedad in the Europa League round of 16.
Amorim has become known for his honest, and sometimes brutal comments and assessments in his interviews, with this one being no different.

Ruben Amorim agrees with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s comments
Not shying away from the comments, The Daily Mail has reported on the press conference, with Amorim saying: “I think if we are being honest in this moment, everybody – me, all the players – we are underperforming this season.”
He continued: “So we can always change that, and I include myself in that part of the underperforming.
“You are talking about players like Casemiro, for example, that won everything and we know these kind of players can play so much better. That is the focus.
“He was honest on that, the focus is to change his mind and change all the people’s minds.
“I think it’s the right way to do it, if you are a top player playing in this club, even me. A lot of people say I am not good enough for the club.
“My feeling is that you can change that with results. In training, I feel that they want this really bad, especially for tomorrow.”
United enter the second leg against Real Sociedad with a 1-1 aggregate score, hoping to book their slot in the next round with a win over the LaLiga side.
