West Ham United have been dealt a Crysencio Summerville hammer blow, and like the old saying goes, when it rains it pours.
Crysencio Summerville hasn’t played for West Ham since January 10th, after he picked up what looked like a fairly innocuous injury during our FA Cup clash with Aston Villa.
That obviously wasn’t the case though, with claims now suggesting that he has refused surgery and may not be back until next season.
Graham Potter‘s system could really do with Summerville’s quality.

The 23-year-old joined West Ham from Leeds in the summer of 2024 for a fee believed to be worth around £20 million.
However, we’re yet to see the best of Summerville, and his latest injury has obviously severely hindered his progress.
After Crysencio Summerville, West Ham dealt another big blow
The former Leeds man is an electric player, and his pace and movement will be crucial to the way we set up under Potter.
Summerville looked absolutely brilliant during Potter’s first game in charge in the wing-back position before he was subbed off through injury.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
West Ham are really lacking the kind of youthful exuberance that Crysencio Summerville offers the team right now.
And if he really is out for the remainder of the season, it will be a crushing blow for the Hammers.
When it rains it pours.
Now West Ham have been dealt yet another big injury blow, but for very different reasons.
Maxwel Cornet injury shocker is bad news for West Ham
Hammers loanee Maxwel Cornet has been thriving out in Italy since joining Genoa in the January window.
However, things have taken a turn for the worse now.

PrimoCanale report that Cornet had to be subbed of during Genoa’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari on Friday night.
The 28-year-old winger actually scored Genoa’s goal earlier on in the game, to make it two goals in his first six games for the Serie A outfit.
However, he won’t be playing again for some time now.
The timing literally couldn’t be worse for the Hammers.
West Ham desperately need to sell Maxwel Cornet in the summer in order to raise some funds.
His fine form for Genoa meant that we could have been looking at a decent fee for him during the off-season.
He could even be used as a makeweight in a deal to bring Koni De Winter to the London Stadium.
However, the thigh injury he picked up whilst playing for Patrick Vieira’s side may well have put paid to that now.
Let’s just hope that he recovers quickly and returns to full fitness as soon as possible.
