Nottingham Forest must 'shake' Serie A club as transfer fee revealed

Nottingham Forest have ‘set their sights’ on defender Thomas Kristensen, according to a report in Italy.

Website Tuttomercatoweb claim Forest have become the latest club to be interested in the Danish Under-21 who is currently at Udinese.

The Reds are said to have joined the likes of Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City in tracking a centre back, who can also play right back, who still has three years left on his contract.

However, the report says Forest would have to ‘shake’ Udinese with a ‘significant offer’ to take the 23-year-old to the City Ground.

That could mean an offer of between €15-20million for a player who cost just €5m from Danish club AGF in the summer of 2023.

He made 34 appearances in his first season for Udinese, including 23 Serie A starts. He has added another 16 this term, having come back from a calf injury and while Udinese are said to make a big profit, they are considering a summer transfer.

Kristensen has options in Italy too, with Juventus and Milan said to have asked for information.

Forest seem well set in central defence with Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic’s partnership one of the foundation stones of their outstanding season. Murillo is likely to attract transfer interest in the next window.

They also have Morata as an option, while Willy Boly’s contract expires in the summer. Tyler Bindon will arrive from Reading and Andrew Omobamidele will return from his loan with Strasbourg with three years remaining on his deal.
