Locals in a Cornwall town had a bit of a shock on Monday afternoon when a very well-known Manchester City player descended onto the town.
Erling Haaland was spotted at Newquay harbour following a fishing trip with friends.
Haaland, who is a striker for Manchester City and the Norway national team, happily posed for photos with fans near Towan Beach.
He was also seen signing the back of a city shirt for one young boy.
One local said: “I was surprised to see Erling there, he was a really nice chap.
While the reason for his visit to Cornwall remains unknown, Haaland left a lasting impression on local football fans.

I'm hoping he will drop in and say hello,” while another person added: “Honestly can’t believe Erling Haaland was in Newquay today that was not on my bingo card for 2025.
One person joked: "The man is a god I’d sell a kidney just for the chance to be within a mile of him."
Known for his speed, strength and record-breaking goal-scoring ability (including 36 goals in his debut Premier League season), Haaland’s visit to Newquay won’t be forgotten about in a hurry.
