Portland Trail Blazers wing Matisse Thybulle will be available to make his season debut Wednesday night against the New York Knicks, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported.
Portland Trail Blazers wing Matisse Thybulle — who dealt with a knee and ankle injury — will suit up for the first time this season tonight against the New York Knicks, league sources tell me.
On Tuesday’s injury report for the game, the Blazers said Thybulle was questionable to play as he continues to recover from a right ankle sprain that has ailed him since late November. The organization hasn’t upgraded his status yet.
Thybulle was assigned to the Rip City Remix earlier this week for return-to-court conditioning while the Blazers traveled to San Francisco to play the Golden State Warriors.
The two-time All-Defensive Second Team player initially underwent a procedure during the preseason to address inflammation in his right knee. In late November, Thybulle sustained the ankle sprain during the ramp-up to return to the court following the procedure.
The Blazers tip off against the Knicks at the Moda Center Wednesday at 7 p.m. Pacific.
