Bronny James has been one of the biggest stories in the NBA this season, as the eldest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made his debut with his father earlier in the season. The pair became the first father/son duo to share the court at the same exact time.

While Bronny was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, it was all but a guarantee that he would develop with the G League affiliate, South Bay Lakers. That would be the case, leading to him shining as a member of the team.
As a member of the South Bay Lakers, Bronny is averaging 20.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.
While with the Lakers, Bronny has been on very limited minutes, putting together 1.4 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game. Regardless of his limited time playing in the pros, he still remains one of the most popular figures in basketball.
Bronny has often been cheered for during Lakers' games, with raucous fans asking for him to get minutes. If and when he takes the court and scores a basket or a steal, the crowds often go wild.
Bronny has been in the spotlight plenty, whether he wants to be or not. Even LeBron has made headlines recently after he approached Stephen A. Smith at a recent game to defend his son from the barbs he took during a segment Smith produced earlier this season.
Regardless of the limelight shined on Bronny, he has taken everything in stride. It could be that his attitude towards basketball is why fans are all-in on watching the eldest James son play. That said, his appearance and play at the NBA Summer League are likely going to lead to sold-out games.
