Newcastle United recently sent scouts to Denmark to watch 18-year-old winger bag two goal…

**Paul Mitchell will have his scouting network scouring the globe for the right player to solve Newcastle United's right-wing problem.**

Newcastle's right-wing problems are as deep as America's these days as Eddie Howe is forced to rely on Jacob Murphy down the right flank with no real suitable second option.

Having sold Miguel Almiron in January, Murphy remains the only recognised right-sided winger in the first-team squad.

It's a huge problem area for Howe and therefore Mitchell as it's the latter who is tasked with finding the ideal recruitment and bringing them into the club.

Newcastle scouted 18-year-old Sindre Walle Egeli at the weekend

Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo and Johan Bakayoko are three names that have probably appeared the most since the quest was stepped up another gear, but there is another name that has popped up a few times that is now making a return to prominence.

[Sindre Walle Egeli](https://nufcfeed.com/magpies-now-looking-at-special-teenager-from-norway-as-right-wing-option-after-bright-start-to-season-802910), the 18-year-old Norwegian winger playing for Nordsjælland in the Danish league has caught the eye of Newcastle's scouts, and with the Danish league starting again, Graeme Bailey has told [Geordie Boot Boys](https://www.geordiebootboys.com/transfers/21m-wonderkid-proves-why-paul-mitchell-must-sign-him-in-front-of-newcastle-united-officials/) that Newcastle despatched scouts to watch over him on Friday.

> “He is a player who they already know about and have done work on.”

Sindre Walle Egeli is unlikely to be the answer to Newcastle's immediate problems

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We doubt that Sindre Walle Egeli would be seen as the ideal player to take Newcastle forward short term at just 18, but he could perhaps come in this summer and be nurtured by the club to be a future star.

Meanwhile, Paul Mitchell will still have to find a more experienced winger more equipped to hit the ground running in the Premier League to come in alongside Walle Egeli.

Still, bagging a goal and an assist with the Toon scouts watching on isn't a bad audition, is it?
