Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown Headline Hefty Injury Report Before Thunder-Celtics

The Oklahoma City Thunder are on the road Wednesday night to take on the Boston Celtics in a blockbuster matchup.

Of course, Wednesday's matchup could be an NBA Finals preview with both the Celtics and Thunder having incredible seasons and being title favorites.

Despite this, both teams may be without some of their star players in Wednesday night's highly anticipated matchup.

For the Thunder, they have ruled out Jalen Williams due to a hip injury that he suffered during Monday's loss to the Denver Nuggets. This is a major loss for the Thunder as Williams has been their second-best player behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander this season.

Oklahoma City has also ruled out Nikola Topic and Ajay Mitchell and they have listed Alex Caruso as questionable with an illness.

On the other side, the Celtics may also be without some of their key players including multiple of their superstars.

Boston has listed Jaylen Brown as probable with a knee injury, but he is expected to play in Wednesday's blockbuster matchup.

While Brown is expected to suit up against the Thunder, the Celtics may be without both Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis as both stars have been listed as questionable.

Tatum is dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of Monday's game against the Utah Jazz, but he is likely to play after his extended time to rest.

For Porzingis, he is listed as questionable due to an illness that has kept him out of Boston's last six games and seven of their past eight games.

The good news for Porzingis is that he was able to go through shootaround Wednesday morning and was upgraded from doubtful to questionable, which could signal a possible return to the lineup against Oklahoma City.

If Porzingis and Tatum are out for Wednesday's game, it would be a major blow to the Celtics and one that the Thunder would need to take advantage of.

Fans can catch Wednesday's blockbuster matchup between the Thunder and Celtics at 7:30 p.m. EST on ESPN.
