HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Harold's Hoops for Hope is set to host its third annual three-on-three tournament for suicide awareness and prevention.
The tournament is scheduled for 11 a.m. March 22 at Hoop Dreams Shot Lab, located at 11 Ogden Court, Huntington Station. All net proceeds will go to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.
Kids in middle school and high school will be competing. This year, the event will feature food trucks, offering pizza, donuts, hot dogs and cheesesteaks. Food trucks will include How U Doggin Hot Dogs, Chiddy's Cheesteaks, DillyDilly Donuts, and Oak & Ember Pizza.
The charity has vendors from the Long Island Nets, Sports Bash Radio, Dr. Gellerman's Pediatrics, New Horizon Counseling Center and the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.
The kids competing will all be automatically entered to win a Signed Deuce McBride autographed Knicks basketball.
The winners of each division will also be entered into a raffle, and two teams will be selected to go to a Knicks Basketball game on March 30. The charity has also been given early access from the Knicks to watch the shoot arounds.
