Retailer Briefly Lists Acer PC With Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060

We expect Nvidia to launch the next RTX 50 series GPUs in late March, so it’s not surprising that an RTX 5060 popped up online recently. According to VideoCardz, a French retailer briefly displayed a new system with an RTX 5060 onboard. The specifications page listed 8GB of memory for the 5060, which would be the same amount of storage we saw on the last gen RTX 4060. The product listing appears to have been removed at this point.

This appears to be an accidental leak on the retailer’s part. The listing features an Acer Nitro 50 N50-656 tower at €1,589 that is marked “Currently unavailable.” The tower sports a 14th Gen Core i7-14700F, 32 GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1TB SSD. The black tower has a red V shape on the front that gives gamer vibes without being over-the-top.

The paltry 8GB of memory comports with what we expect from the RTX 5060 Ti, which will likely have both 16GB and 8GB versions. On the upside, less memory often translates to lower prices with video cards. For example, the RTX 4060 Ti had a roughly $100 gap between its 4060 Ti 16GB and 8GB MSRPs. Predicting prices can be tricky and we’re coming up on the general timeframe in which we expect Nvidia to make things official for the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060, so we’ll hold off. With the RTX 5070 MSRP at $549, it will obviously be more affordable.

One thing to keep in mind when we’re discussing prices is that MSRPs are often lower than what you’ll see at retailers—especially in the months right after a product launch. And if there are stocking shortages (as there were with the high-end RTX 50 GPUs), you may face absurd prices. The good news for mainstream gamers is that Nvidia’s add-in card (AIC) partners will likely have better supply of cards with these midrange GPUs. Or so we hope.

The MSRPs for the already-released RTX 50 series cards are $1,999 for the flagship RTX 5090, $999 for the RTX 5080, $749 for the RTX 5070 Ti, and, as we mentioned earlier, $549 for the RTX 5070. AMD is looking to make this a serious fight for market share with its own Radeon RTX 9070 XT and 9070, which are priced at $599 and $549, respectively. So far, the RTX 9070 XT is already getting attention for its performance.
