Report: How much Chelsea could now have to pay to sign 'massive' target Antoine Semenyo

Chelsea could raid Bournemouth this summer as they look to strengthen their squad, with Antoine Semenyo, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez all thought to be in their sights.

Chelsea are likely to face competition for all three of those players, though, so signing the trio will not be easy.

For example, it has been reported that both Real Madrid and Barcelona want Huijsen, while Kerkez has also been linked to Liverpool.

Semenyo is attracting interest from some good teams as well and could cause a real transfer scrap with his rumoured price tag.

Antoine Semenyo could cost Chelsea as little as £34m

While Chelsea do look keen on Huijsen and Kerkez, it is their 25-year-old teammate who appears to be the Bournemouth player the Blues really want.

It has been claimed that Semenyo has become a “massive” target for Chelsea going into the summer transfer window.

According to AreaNapoli, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Semenyo, and that is not a surprise given his valuation.

The same outlet claims that he could cost as little as €40m (£33.6m), which is not a lot of money for Premier League clubs such as Spurs and Chelsea.

At that price, he would be much cheaper than Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, who is also thought to be on Chelsea’s radar.

Dortmund are believed to value Gittens at £84m. It would make him one of the most expensive signings in Chelsea’s history.

How Antoine Semenyo compares to Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho

Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho have been Chelsea’s main two wingers this season, while Pedro Neto has also played a lot of football, though he has been starting up front lately.

When it comes to goals and assists in the Premier League, Semenyo and Madueke’s stats are practically identical.

However, the Bournemouth star triumphs Sancho in the former, while he is also averaging more shots and dribbles per game than both players. Semenyo has racked up way more minutes than the Chelsea duo, though.

All in all, Chelsea could be getting a real bargain with Semenyo if he is going to cost less than £35m.

The Ghana international is a versatile attacker whose end product has really improved this term. And still being 25, there is no reason why he cannot get even better, perhaps at Stamford Bridge.
