Everton have already been linked with a number of transfer targets for the summer but the latest news to have emerged from Goodison Park is certainly a cause for excitement.

In the winter transfer window, the Toffees only added Carlos Alcaraz to their ranks despite their fans’ desire for more new faces to be brought in.

With the summer transfer window now edging closer, it’s not a surprise to see the rumour mill already starting to turn regarding who Everton could look at bringing in to improve their squad.

If the latest transfer news to have emerged from Goodison Park is to be believed, The Friedkin Group will once again be able to prove their commitment to the Merseyside outfit and their future.

Everton eyeing move for Sindre Walle Egeli

In a new report from Graeme Bailey via Everton News (11 March), the Toffees have reportedly set their sights on Danish attacker, Sindre Walle Egeli.

The winger currently plies his trade for Danish Superliga team Nordsjaelland and despite only being 18 years old, he’s managed to contribute to 11 goals across all competitions this season.

Bailey describes the youngster as one of the “top young European wing prospects” with many other Premier League clubs also watching his progression.

Everton’s attack has been something of a problem for them this term with players such as Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom having minimal impact on the way that games have played out.

Granted, Lindstrom did just get his first assist of the season but if he wants Everton to activate their option to buy him, he needs to do better.

That is unless they turn their sights elsewhere and go all in for Egeli.

Egeli transfer could help Everton massively

Both Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil have been injured for extended periods this term and even though they’ll be Moyes’ first choices upon their return, there’s plenty of room for others to prove their worth.

Egeli has only played in his home country and while a move to England would be a massive step up in terms of quality for the youngster, it’s one that could work in Everton’s favour.

They’d be gaining a player with massive potential and would also be adding someone with a keen eye for goal to their ranks which is something they’ve desperately lacked this term.

Only time will tell what the future holds but if the Friedkin’s want to win over Everton fans once again, a move for Egeli in the summer could help them do that.
