Stephen Curry has long been the best player on the Golden State Warriors, but Draymond Green, for better or worse, has been the heart and soul. When the Warriors are playing well, he's at the center of their success, and when they flounder, he is seemingly nowhere to be found.
This season, the Warriors started off hot, got cold, and then traded for Jimmy Butler, finding their footing once again. Green's production has matched the team's success, and he has kicked it into a new gear since early February.
Green has long been one of the better connectors and passers in the NBA, and with Butler providing a scoring punch, Green can focus on what he does best: rebounding, passing, and defending.
It's no wonder his stats have taken a leap since the trade deadline, and the Warriors are playing their best basketball since November.

As long as Green is playing well, the team rightfully believes that they can compete with anyone in the Association.
"The Warriors won some championships in the past, and they enjoy telling you just how much they feel like they can contend when they are playing well," explained *The Athletic's*Law Murray. "We heard that talk when they started 12-3, and we're back at this point now that they have won 12 of 14 (with a slightly more serious roster). The bottom line for the Warriors is that they are defending at a top-five level again, with Draymond Green blowing up plays at an elite level; Green is averaging 1.9 steals per game since late January."
