Cardinals tender restricted free agent Greg Dortch

The Arizona Cardinals have tendered restricted free agent wide receiver Greg Dortch.

If the wide receiver signs the qualifying offer, he’ll carry a $3.3 million salary into the 2025 season.

Arizona’s move also means it has the right to match any offer he gets elsewhere on the market.

Dortch is coming off one of his best seasons as a pro behind 342 yards and three touchdowns on 37 catches (50 targets). He was third among Arizona pass catchers in scores and fifth in both receptions and yards. He recorded another 31 yards on five carries.

The wideout’s role went beyond the offense, though, with Dortch serving as Arizona’s primary punt returner. He averaged 9.6 yards per attempt with his longest return being 27 yards.

He also shared kick return duties alongside primary option DeeJay Dallas.

The Cardinals wide receiver room is currently led by Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson with the team’s No. 3 option still unclear. Zay Jones should be in the mix for the role after re-signing with Arizona on Tuesday.

If Dortch signs his tender, he’ll be the latest Cardinal returning for another year in Arizona, joining offensive linemen Kelvin Beachum and Evan Brown, pass rusher Baron Browning, safety Joey Blount and long snapper Aaron Brewer.

Arizona has also brought in some new blood, with pass rusher Josh Sweat, inside linebackers Akeem Davis-Gaither and Mykal Walker and quarterback Jacoby Brissett joining the mix.

The news of Dortch’s tender comes after the Cardinals extended one to exclusive rights free agent and tight end Travis Vokolek days prior, according to OverTheCap’s Jason Fitzgerald.

While Dortch saw a qualifying offer come his way, the same can’t be said for pass rusher Jesse Luketa, cornerback Andre Chachere and offensive lineman Carter O’Donnell.

The deadline for teams to submit tenders on restricted free agents was the start of the new league year, which began Wednesday.
