Russell Wilson to Visit New York Giants; Team Signs Two

**RUSSELL WILSON TO VISIT NEW YORK GIANTS…**

_ESPN_ is reporting that unrestricted free agent QB **Russell Wilson** (Pittsburgh Steelers) will visit the New York Giants on Friday. Wilson will first meet with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. This is the second offseason in a row that Wilson will have met with the Giants. The 36-year old Wilson has played 13 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the the Seattle Seahawks (2012-2021), followed by two seasons with the Denver Broncos (2022-2023), and one season in Pittsburgh (2024). He has started all 199 regular-seasons games that he has played in, throwing for 46,135 yards and 350 touchdowns. Wilson has been voted to the Pro Bowl ten times.

The Giants are turning to Wilson after their attempts to trade for Los Angeles Rams quarterback **Matthew Stafford** fell through and their attempts to sign free agent quarterback **Aaron Rodgers** have not yet succeeded. Rodgers is also being pursued by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

**NEW YORK GIANTS RE-SIGN DARIUS SLAYTON…**

The New York Giants have re-signed unrestricted free agent WR **Ihmir Smith-Marsette**. Terms of the deal are not yet known.

**GIANTS SIGN OT JAMES FORSYTHE…**

The Giants have signed unrestricted free agent OT **Stone Forsythe** (Seattle Seahawks). The contract is reportedly a 1-year, veteran-minimum deal. The 27-year old, 6’8”, 307-pound Forsythe was drafted in the 6th round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Seahawks. In four seasons with Seattle, Forsythe has played in 53 regular-season games with 14 starts (11 at right tackle, three at left tackle).
