The New York Giants are stuck between a rock and either Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers in their quarterback vacancy.
With the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, it's unlikely that Miami's Cam Ward will be available for the Giants. A free agent class led by Sam Darnold and Justin Fields has dried up, leaving the Giants to throw the kitchen sink at securing one of Wilson or Rodgers.
Rodgers' decision between the Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers remains in limbo, but Wilson is scheduled to fly into New York for a meeting with the franchise on Friday per NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
The Giants are looking to discuss with Wilson what they expect in their needs for a quarterback. The 10-time Pro-Bowler guided the Steelers into the playoffs, but fell in the wild-card game after a 6-5 season.
He's also scheduled to visit the Cleveland Browns-another club looking to find a stabilizing presence under center.
Wilson's visits with both teams are scheduled for late this week because during the 52-hour negotiating window, teams can finalize deals but players can't visit potential new teams.
Once free agency officially begins at 4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, pre-arranged visits-technically not allowed before then-are revealed.
Wilson passed for 2,482 yards, recording 16 touchdowns and five interceptions for Pittsburgh after stepping in as the starter when Justin Fields suffered a training camp injury that kept him out to begin the season.
