THE Cherries will continue to monitor Ryan Christie and his chronic groin injury after the Scot impressed in midfield at Spurs.

The Scot was a doubt ahead of the game in the capital, having missed the cup game against Wolves last weekend following his substitution through injury within the first half an hour against Brighton.

But Christie started and, in connection with Tyler Adams, helped to give Bournemouth control of the game in the first half.

When he was substituted in the 71st minute, the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) were leading 2-1 after goals from Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson, but Spurs ended up levelling the game with six minutes to play to see the spoils shared.

Asked by the Daily Echo about Christie’s condition after the game, Andoni Iraola said: “With Ryan, we have to be smart with his management.

“I think we are being quite selective with training, his feeling, going day by day. Sometimes we don't know why he's feeling better.

“Sometimes he's more with the pain. I think especially first half, he was really good. He played very well.

“Probably in this kind of injuries that are more chronic, after half time it’s difficult to get the same, because you stop and then it costs us a little bit more to start again.

“But he's very experienced, he's very honest, so we have to listen to him and whenever he thinks he's ready to go for us, perfect.

“And if not, also we have other options.”
