After one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Russell Wilson has entered free agency, potentially finding a new home in the NFL.
The free agency period began on March 12, sparking a flurry of signings around the league. While fans await Wilson's decision, his wife Ciara, had an interview with Kindred by Parents.
During her discussion with Kindred, Ciara shared an empowering message on her daughters, Sienna and Amora.
"I always want my girls to feel valued, know that they can create their own self-worth, they're in control of themselves and what they can be in life. I want my girls to know that they're not limited by their gender or the color of their skin."
After the interview was released, Wilson took to social media, responding to Ciara's quote.
"My girls," Wilson wrote.
Ciara later gave further detail on her stance, during the interview, sharing a firm message about her children.
"I need to remind my girls to know when you are in the full essence of your honey and your sweetness, but also being firm and clear, you can make a lot happen in that space," Ciara said, per Hannah Sacks at People.
According to Skyler Caruso at People, Wilson and Ciara originally started dating in 2015. They eventually got engaged in 2016 and wound up getting married later that year.
