Houston Rockets Center Steven Adams Ejected for Fighting

Houston Rockets Center Steven Adams was ejected from the game against the Phoenix Suns after he was involved in an altercation with Mason Plumlee. The altercation happened late in the second quarter of the game when both players were fighting for a rebound. It appears both players were fighting for the ball and battling for position during the game.

The officials wasted no time in ejecting both players from the game as assistant coaches entered on the court to de-escalate the situation. Adams finished the game with one point and four rebounds in 11 minutes of action. The Rockets will miss Adams physical presence inside the paint as he is a key rebounder and shot blocker.

Adams has been getting more minutes in recent games as the Rockets have decided to play bigger in recent games. Adams and all-star center Alperen Sengun have been able to play very efficiently and effectively inside for the Rockets. Adams is far from the player he once was when he played with the Oklahoma Thunder.

His play has declined due to age and lack of athleticism over the past years. The Rockets can only hope that Adams will not be suspended going forward as he is a key member of the bench.
