Report: Everton on the back foot as Man United boss Ruben Amorim could now snatch £35m striker…

Everton are set to undergo a transformative summer transfer window.

The Friedkin Group will back David Moyes with a substantial budget as they look to return Everton to their past glories.

The PSR issues are set to clear in June, once the financial year ends, so finally the Toffees can spend much more freely.

And, the move to the new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock will contribute to bigger budgets going forward, as they could earn around £40m extra in revenue every year.

David Moyes wants to sign a prolific striker once the window opens and it’s understood Dusan Vlahovic could be an option for the Toffees.

However, they’re now on the back foot in the race to sign the Juventus striker.

Man United join race to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Everton are eyeing a summer move for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbia international, who Rafael Benitez wanted during his short spell at Goodison Park, has netted 14 times for the Serie A outfit this term.

However, Moyes’ side are already on the back foot in their pursuit to land Vlahovic because now Manchester United are showing a serious interest.

That’s according to GiveMeSport, who claim Ruben Amorim is considering a move for the 25-year-old to provide competition to Rasmus Hojlund.

Vlahovic has just over 12 months left on contract

Juventus are pretty powerless in keeping Vlahovic this summer.

The left-footed forward is out of contract in 2026, so this is the last chance for the Italian outfit to cash in on him, otherwise, they risk losing him on a free transfer.

The report adds that Juve have placed a £35m price tag on Vlahovic, though, there is a belief that £25m could be enough for the deal to materialise.

Everton will certainly be an attractive proposition for most players across Europe as they head into a new era under the cash-rich Friedkin’s.
