This study explores the characteristics of Government Innovation Through Social Media trends. Research related to government social media management has been carried out in the last ten years, and the primary goal of the government's own social media is to utilize social media technology in the public sector so that the government can be more transparent, open, accessible, and collaborative. It used Citespace and NVivo software to analyze 50 articles from 2012 to 2022. It found that the number of publications on Government Innovation Through social media has increased in the last ten years, with China having the most published research. However, it can also become problematic if the government's social media is not managed correctly.
