Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is thought to be attracting interest from Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old is a key player for Chelsea, so they will not want to lose him. Nevertheless, it is still being reported that Real Madrid have Fernandez on their radar.
The Blues did some business with Real Madrid’s city rivals Atletico Madrid last summer, signing Joao Felix from them.
Chelsea also allowed Conor Gallagher to move to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, and Real Madrid will now be hoping that they can do a deal with the Premier League club as well.

Enzo Fernandez has huge respect for Real Madrid
This is not the first time that Fernandez has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. In fact, it was only January when it was claimed that Real Madrid were willing to offer Chelsea Aurelien Tchouameni in a potential swap deal for the Argentine.
Understandably, Fernandez has admiration for the Spanish giants, so a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu may very well appeal to him.
Before Chelsea’s first-leg tie against Real Madrid in the 2023 Champions League quarter-finals, the Argentina international told Chelsea’s official website and the media: “We know Real Madrid is a very big club with a lot of history.
“Of course they are a team with very big players but we trust in what we’re going to do tomorrow. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are very big players that have won everything and are inspiration to everyone. But afraid? Absolutely we’re not afraid. There is respect there because this is a football match and we know the quality that Real Madrid have, but certainly we are not afraid.

“I will try and enjoy the match, I don’t feel like I have anything to prove to anyone and I will give my best for Chelsea as I always do.”
If Real Madrid really are hoping to sign Fernandez in the next transfer window, though, then they are going to have a hard time trying to convince Chelsea to sell.

Chelsea’s stance on Enzo Fernandez
Real Madrid’s interest in Fernandez is not shocking. The World Cup winner is obviously a top midfielder.
Chelsea face Copenhagen in the second leg of their last-16 Conference League tie on Thursday, and in the first leg, Fernandez recorded a 100% pass success rate. He was not on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, but it is still an impressive feat and shows what kind of midfielder Fernandez is.
Unfortunately for Real Madrid, however, Chelsea look very unwilling to play ball this summer. According to football.london, the Blues have “no interest” in parting ways with Fernandez.
