Kalvin Phillips has been linked with a dramatic return to Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
The England international left the Whites in 2022 for Manchester City after coming up the ranks in West Yorkshire.
However, his move to the Etihad Stadium did not go as per plan and he even struggled on loan at West Ham.

Elland Road return ‘agreement’ reports of Kalvin Phillips are premature
There were reports that an agreement had been reached between Leeds and Phillips over a return to Elland Road this summer.
However, Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue has brushed those claims off as premature.

He wrote on 12 March: “The YEP understands reports suggesting a ‘verbal agreement’ to reunite Phillips with his boyhood club are at this stage premature.”

The finances are also understood to be an issue with this deal, so a move does not appear to be on the cards, at this stage.
The 29-year-old is currently plying his trade at top-flight outfit Ipswich Town who he joined in the summer on loan from Manchester City.
His deal there runs out in 2028 so the Citizens will certainly look to be compensated well if they are to sell him.

Premier League relegation for Ipswich may see Manchester City reaching a lower agreement with Leeds United
If Ipswich face relegation from the Premier League by May, Leeds could capitalise on the situation to negotiate a reduced fee for Phillips.
Currently on loan from Manchester City, Phillips has struggled at Ipswich.
If they avoid relegation, they’ll be better placed to sign him permanently from City, but in the event of relegation, he would not want to return.
Leeds appear to be on course to returning to the Premier League and as Phillips has been part of the club’s system in his formative years, he’d likely be willing to return.
