Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have been told to seal a bargain transfer for Vaclav Cerny next summer at Rangers.
The US consortium are in talks at Ibrox to complete a takeover and buy controlling stakes of the Gers soon and should look to sign the Czechia international after his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe will undoubtedly bring their much-needed financial muscle to the Light Blues, which could potentially see them invest in the upcoming transfer window.
With the prospective new owners making their way to the Bears, Wolfsburg’s reported value of Cerny would possibly be a bargain after what he’s done this season.

Wolfsburg transfer value for Cerny a bargain for Rangers
Ross McCormack believes the first order of business for the prospective new owners should be to sign Cerny on a permanent transfer.

The former Scotland international wants to see the American owners try to keep the 27-year-old forward once they complete their takeover.

Cerny’s record for Rangers in all competitions this season.
McCormack feels the reported transfer fee to sign the Czechia international is a bargain, considering the going rate for players right now.
Speaking on Open Goal (11 March), the 38-year-old said: “The first thing I would do if I was the new owner, I would try to keep [Cerny]. I think it’s a snip, £6.75m. In this day and age, yes [it’s a snip].”
49ers have no-brainer decision with Cerny transfer
Cerny has been one of the best players at Rangers this season, and it would make sense for Cavenagh and the 49ers to ensure he remains beyond this season.
The 27-year-old was once again on the scoresheet for the Gers as they beat Fenerbahce 3-1 in the Europa League at the Ulker Stadium on 6 March.
Barry Ferguson will hope the Czech national puts in a similar display in the second leg on Thursday (13 March) as the light Blues have one foot in the quarter-finals.
The Bears have struggled for consistency this season, which has seen their domestic prospects all but end in the current campaign.
With the Europa League the Glswegian outfit’s only saving grace, it’s imperative that key players like Cerny stand out in the competition.
Going further in Europe will help the Gers get more money, which could potentially come in handy this summer.
While the Light Blues may not be able to fund the 27-year-old attacker’s transfer right now, the takeover should give them a financial boost.
If Cavenagh and Marathe are ambitious about returning the Bears to the top, they must ensure players like Cerny stay at Ibrox.
