Oliver Miller, known as "The Big O," passed away at the age of 54 after a nine-season career with six NBA teams.

Former NBA player Oliver Miller passed away at the age of 54, the National Basketball Retired Players Association announced on Wednesday. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Miller played nine seasons in the NBA for six teams. In 493 career games (196 starts), he averaged 7.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game while playing for the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, and Minnesota Timberwolves.

His best season came in 1995-96 with Toronto, when he posted 12.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game.

He continued playing professionally until 2010.
