Crystal Palace hope to keep hold of star midfielder Adam Wharton while bracing for interest in their other top performers, sources have told Football Insider.
Wharton is under a long-term contract at Selhurst Park but is attracting interest from Liverpool and Man City – as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Palace are hoping to keep the England international for another season and are cautious about weakening Oliver Glasner’s squad.
The Eagles are wary that Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta will attract interest in the summer transfer window.
Crystal Palace want to keep Wharton as they brace for other exits
Wharton only signed for Palace in January 2024 and is under contract until June 2029.
Meanwhile, Guehi is under contract until June 2026 – and is attracting interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle.

Tottenham plot Eze approach
Football Insider has been told by expert Mick Brown (27 February) that Tottenham are plotting a move to sign Crystal Palace star Eze in the summer.
Tottenham staff are concerned about Son Heung-min‘s form, and Eze is viewed as a potential replacement for him.
Eze has struggled with injury for Palace this season but remains a crucial part of Glasner’s plans for the future at Selhurst Park.
