Gogo Maweni, whose real name is Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng, appeared in the Protea magistrate's court in Soweto on Wednesday.
The popular sangoma and reality TV star faces a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm for an alleged incident in 2019.
Her bail was extended until May 5 when her trial will begin.
Maweni's trial is highly anticipated and many are eager to see how the case unfolds as this is not her first brush with the law.
The sangoma, who is expecting twins, was previously convicted of theft and fraud which saw her do community service for three months.
She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol 15 years ago.
