The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Everton has proven to be perfectly-timed after a significant uptick both on and off the pitch.

Since completing their buyout of Farhad Moshiri on 19 December, the Friedkin Group have already overseen some huge changes on Merseyside, almost all of which have proven to be universally popular.

Sacking Sean Dyche to bring in David Moyes has been a masterstroke, with the Toffees climbing 16 points clear of the Premier League drop zone after being firmly in the mire at the time of his appointment.

While the Friedkins have been criticised for their management of existing Everton shareholders, Blues fans the world over are looking forward to a new era at their brand-new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

TFG timing ‘fortuitous’ at Everton amid Donald Trump uncertainty

Toffees fans had been waiting for years for someone – anyone – to finally take beleagured Everton off Moshiri’s hands after over half a decade of haphazard ownership, with TFG finally coming up trumps.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

Friedkin’s takeover and deal to handle Everton’s debt being sealed in December 2024 could, according to The Esk on 13 March, prove to be “very fortuitous” for their prospects given the uncertainty in the US.

Donald Trump’s new administration has spooked the US economy by enacting a number of global trade tariffs, and potentially putting off the likes of TFG – had their Goodison takeover not been completed yet.

Everton already relishing impacts of Friedkin takeover

For the first time in a long time, things are firmly on the up at Everton, with the Toffees on their longest unbeaten run for many a season as they prepare to move into their new home on Liverpool’s waterfront.

Everton Stadium has already taken fans aback after a test event to whet the appetite ahead of leaving Goodison Park this summer, while the Blues’ form on the pitch has also lifted spirits significantly.

The takeover saga between Moshiri and 777 Partners threatened to push Everton into an even greater downward spiral, and compared to what could have been, Friedkin has been almost an messianic figure.

With new executives on board at Bramley-Moore Dock and significant upheaval in the playing squad expected, Evertonians the world over are thanking their lucky stars that Friedkin’s takeover came when it did.
