“Huge bonus” | ExWHUEmployee | Hammers to use forward to land target

**West Ham are eyeing a potential deal to sign Koni De Winter which could involve Max Cornet, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**

The club are set for another busy summer in the transfer market, with a high expectation that Graham Potter and Kyle Macaulay will oversee a squad overhaul to shape in line with how Potter wants his side to operate.

It’s previously been reported by ExWHUEmployee that the club have identified Genoa defender Koni De Winter as a target, with it understood other clubs across Europe also keen on the Belgium international.

However, West Ham could well have a key advantage in the negotiations, in the shape of Max Cornet – who is currently on loan at the Serie A club.

Club insider Ex has advised that Genoa manager Patrick Viera has been impressed with Cornet this season, and is keen to sign the forward on a permanent deal at the end of the season. West Ham are therefore keen to use this as an opportunity to land De Winter.

“Max Cornet is understood to be impressing in Genoa this season, with Patrick Viera keen on signing him on a permanent deal,” stated Ex.

“This is a huge bonus for West Ham who are keen to offload the player, and we will also use this as a tool to try and sign Koni De Winter.”

Ex will keep fans up to date on the situation as it develops.
