Liverpool player’s future‘increasingly far from England’–Major clubs lining up for move

The last time Federico Chiesa played in the Premier League for Liverpool was on January 25th.

Since then, he’s only played two games. One of those appearances came in the Champions League and the other came in the FA Cup. Despite that, Arne Slot has shown no inclination towards using him in the Premier League.

Calciomercato have now reported on the winger’s situation at Liverpool and they’re confident that the Italian’s future lies ‘increasingly far from England’.

The idea of him returning to Italy seems to be the likely option. For that, the 27-year-old would have to make some sacrifices over his wage demands.

Napoli and Atalanta wanted to take him back to Serie A in the winter transfer window but a move never took off. Those two clubs will not be able to cover Chiesa’s entire wages.

There is also interest from Inter Milan, who could come forward in the summer.

Whether clubs would want the Azzurri star on a permanent deal or on a loan deal remains to be seen, but it is increasingly clear that he is not in Liverpool’s plans anymore.
