Crystal Palace are in advanced talks with Will Hughes over a new deal at Selhurst Park, sources have told Football Insider.
Hughes is due to be out of contract this summer, but Palace are keen to end speculation over his future by tying him down to a new deal.
Football Insider revealed earlier this year (1 January) that Brentford, West Ham and Fulham are monitoring the contract situation of the 29-year-old.
He remains a key man under Oliver Glasner despite uncertainty over his future.
Hughes in talks to extend Crystal Palace contract
Hughes has been with Crystal Palace since joining from Watford in 2021 and last extended his contract in May 2024.
The former England Under-21 international has made 30 appearances across all competitions this term.

He wore the captain’s armband for Palace in the Premier League win over Southampton at Selhurst Park in December.
The midfielder, who turns 30 next month, has racked up 113 Eagles appearances since joining after previous spells with Derby and Watford.
He has primarily played in defensive midfield in recent weeks but has also played in more advanced midfield roles for Glasner’s side.

Football Insider revealed on Thursday (13 March) that Crystal Palace hope to keep midfielder Adam Wharton while bracing for interest in their other top performers.
Wharton is under a long-term contract at Selhurst Park but is attracting interest from Liverpool and Man City – as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Eagles are wary that Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta will attract interest in the summer transfer window.
