Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce Tried Singing on ‘New Heights,’ and It Didn’t Go Well At Al| | SI

The brothers are both future Pro Football Hall of Famers, are outstanding on camera and in interviews and have a wildly successful podcast. Jason can even sing. But we now know the two brothers absolutely cannot harmonize together.

On the latest episode of New Heights, the brothers attempted to sing in the same key at the same time. It did not go well. They simply couldn’t get on the same page and had a really hard time holding it together.

31.Kansas City Chiefs – Emeka Egbuka, WR,Ohio State

The offensive line retooling looks to be complete after the trade of Joe Thuney and signing of Jaylon Moore to take over at left tackle. But if Kansas City is intent on making life easier for Patrick Mahomes after his Super Bowl pummeling, it should take a long look at Egbuka, who can create consistent separation and keep the offense moving with his smooth route-running and sure hands.

The pros and cons of adding Cooper Kupp for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense | Arrowhead Addict

The pros of signing Cooper Kupp for the Chiefs

Cooper Kupp still offers a variety of pros in his game as a grizzled veteran. For starters, he is a versatile piece that can win from both the slot and out wide. Including playoffs, Kupp tallied 459 snaps in the slot in 2024, via Pro Football Focus. He also logged another 272 snaps out wide. Kansas City already likes to move their receivers around and provide different pictures to the defense from snap to snap.

Kupp is still an effective and savvy route runner. The thing that stands out the most with his routes is how he attacks with swift, sharp cuts. He makes it look smooth. Though, with how he understands and attacks leverage against defensive backs, Kupp will not hesitate to make immediate adjustments toward the open side of the field.

Most of all, Kupp is an incredibly smart and instinctive receiver. He has a great feel for soft spots in coverage while knowing when to slide into an opening or sit down for the quarterback to hit him on a dime. How he works his way back to the football should not go unnoticed, either. Kupp is still a bit underrated in contested catch situations or when working over the middle of the field. Largely, his production has not come close to cratering, so long as he is healthy.

Rams to release All-Pro WR Cooper Kupp after failing to find trade | ESPN

Los Angeles informed the All-Pro wideout it will be releasing him on Wednesday following eight seasons together, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.

By releasing Kupp ahead of June 1, the Rams save $7.5 million in 2025 but take on $22.3 million in dead money.

Kupp, who announced on Feb. 3 that the team was seeking to trade him “immediately,” departs a franchise hero with the third-most receptions (634) and receiving touchdowns (57) and fourth-most receiving yards (7,776) in Rams history.

The move addresses one of the Seahawks’ most glaring needs after the team agreed to trade DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers and released Tyler Lockett, leaving the receiver corps with limited options after Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Valdes-Scantling reunites in Seattle with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who had the same job last season with the New Orleans Saints.

Valdes-Scantling, 30, signed with the Saints in October after he was released by the Buffalo Bills midseason. He replaced an injured Rashid Shaheed and became the Saints’ primary deep-threat receiver last season.

Brocky Purdy nearly doubles his 2024 salary, with performance-based pay | NBC Sports

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy earned the paltry (by NFL starter standards) sum of $985,000 in 2024. He has nearly doubled his money, thanks to the NFL’s performance-based pay system.

Purdy will get a check for another $857,842, thanks to a program that rewards low-compensation players who put in a high-percentage of playing time.

Purdy ranks No. 16 on this year’s list. The leader for 2024 was Jets linebacker Jamien Sherwood, at $1.092 million.

It’s a league-wide program that doesn’t impact a team’s cap. And it’s a way to create a little fairness for the guys who are actually pulling an oar without being paid as much as the other oar-pullers.

Sources: QB Mac Jones to 49ers on 2-year, $7 million deal | ESPN

Free agent quarterback Mac Jones, who wanted an opportunity to work with coach Kyle Shanahan, has agreed to terms with the San Francisco 49ers on a two-year deal worth $7 million with $5 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

Jones, 26, appeared in 10 games last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars, including seven starts in place of injured Trevor Lawrence. He completed 65.3% of his passes for 1,672 yards and eight touchdowns, along with eight interceptions. The Jaguars went 2-5 in his starts, averaging just 15 points per game.

Jacksonville sent a 2024 sixth-round pick to the New England Patriots last March for Jones, who grew up in Jacksonville. He beat out C.J. Beathard in training camp to be Lawrence’s backup.

Chiefs gain cap space with release of annual NFLPA figures

On Tuesday afternoon — shortly before the NFL’s 2025 league year was due to begin — the team gained another $4.5 million in cap space when the NFL Players Association released its annual salary cap adjustment figures for all of the league’s teams.

These figures are based on adjustments to the 2025 cap because of likely-to-be-earned (LTBE) contract amounts that were not earned in 2024, along with not-likely-to-be-earned (NLTBE) amounts that were earned last season, insurance repayments and so on. When totaled, these figures can either add or subtract from a team’s cap space as the year begins.

The San Francisco 49ers led the league by gaining $12.2 million in cap space from 2025 adjustments, while the Buffalo Bills ranked last by losing $7.4 million.

A year ago, the Chiefs lost $4.1 million in cap space from these adjustments.
