Moscow is interested in a “long-term resolution” to the conflict with Ukraine rather than a temporary ceasefire, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on March 13, according to Interfax.
A temporary truce, he argued, would serve only as a pause for Ukrainian forces to regroup, RBC reported. Ushakov added that “steps that merely imitate peace efforts are of no use to anyone.”
This is a developing story.
