Cooper Kupp is up for grabs, and it looks like the Patriots will try to make their case to the veteran wide receiver.
Kupp, who had been on the trade block for over a month, was released by the Rams on Wednesday after Los Angeles failed to find a partner for a deal. The Super Bowl LVI now is an unrestricted free agent, and he appears to have a very robust market.
One of those franchises kicking the tires on Kupp very well might be New England, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter specifically highlighted Mike Vrabel’s side when he gave an update on the accomplished pass-catcher Wednesday evening.
“Teams that bear watching here include the Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots, among others,” Schefter said on “SportsCenter.”
“Among others” is a key phrase, as the Patriots probably will face very stiff competition in the race to sign Kupp. In a separate report about the wideout’s market, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport mentioned the New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars as likely suitors for Kupp.

New England has plenty to offer Kupp, including money, a Pro Bowl quarterback and an appealing coaching situation. But it’s unclear what exactly the 31-year-old is prioritizing as a free agent.
