Everton’s fortunes have completely turned on its head since David Moyes has returned to Goodison Park.
When the Friedkin Group sacked Sean Dyche at the start of the year, Everton were fighting for their Premier League status.
The Toffees were scrapping in and around the relegation zone, but now, David Moyes’ side sit 16 points clear of the bottom three.
The former West Ham United boss has been able to improve a number of underperforming players, most notably Beto.
Beto has been prolific under Moyes, who’s been able to lift his confidence and play to his strengths of running in behind.
Jordan Pickford has now revealed what Everton are working on in training which is a stark contrast to Sean Dyche’s methods.

David Moyes working on patterns of play in Everton training
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Jordan Pickford revealed that David Moyes is working on patterns of play in possession to create more opportunities.
The Everton shot-stopper noted that they’ve had to defend a lot in the last few games, so there’s been more emphasis on being the aggressors.

“The atmosphere has been brilliant,” Pickford said. “I think we’ve given the fans the opportunity to create a brilliant atmosphere.
“We’ve been working hard on how we work the ball and creating chances. You know what Goodison is like, the fans just want to see opportunities and when you’ve not got the ball, working hard without it and I think we’ve shown that in the last few games.”
Pickford admits Moyes doesn’t hold back on his thoughts
The England number one also noted that Moyes doesn’t mince his words and often tells his players exactly what he’s thinking.
“I’ve known him a long time. When he’s got a message to get across, he tells you straight. You know yourself, but if you need to do better in training, he’ll tell you. Nobody is different.
“He’s got great experience in this building (Finch Farm) and at the stadium and he knows how to get the best out of people.”
Moyes’ approach clearly works, as every player who’s been interviewed in recent weeks has hailed his methods and philosophy.
With a much bigger budget in the summer, the future is certainly bright on Merseyside.
