Gunners tried to sign Zubimendi last summer but the deal failed. The Spaniard wanted to stay at Spain and hence opted to turn down offer. However, it is now changed as he is now open to moving to North London.
Zubimendi has €60 million release clause in his contract. He is said to already have agreed personal terms with Gunners. As Partey and Jorginho are both set to leave, there will be a space for another midfielder in the squad.
Andrea Berta is big fan of Bruno Guimaraes who he tried to sign 3 times for Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian is very happy at Newcastle but can opt to leave in order to play Champions League football. The Magpies are likely to demand around €70 million for Guimaraes if they fail to secure their spot in UCL.
