**Former Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley recently revealed that she will be a face in the crowd on Sunday as Newcastle take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final.**
After being ousted from the club along with her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi in the summer, it wouldn't be a surprise if the husband and wife team did their best to stay away from the club.
Staveley and Ghodoussi have kept tabs on Newcastle United since they were reportedly pushed out, often seen commenting on players' instagram and X posts while interacting with fans.
The duo were the faces of the 2021 takeover, particularly Staveley who was seen as the mastermind of the whole thing, bringing all parties together to broker the deal.

Fans took to the pair and they to the fans, but in their desperation to please the supporters, they were perhaps a bit too cavalier in their approach and as a result, Newcastle spent the summer scrambling to make up a £70 million PSR deficit as a result of some heavy spending in the early days of the takeover, although to point the fingers solely at Staveley would be very disingenuous.
Thankfully, it seems there is no bad blood as [The Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/33825075/newcastle-invite-amanda-staveley-carabao-cup/) have now revealed that Staveley's attendance on Sunday is a direct result of an invitation from Jamie Reuben.
Jamie Reuben was often pictured with Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi during their tenure, and it's clear there was a genuine friendship there which looks to have survived the messy summer.
Amanda Staveley is a big part of why Newcastle are in this position

Should Newcastle lift the Carabao Cup on Sunday, it's only right that Staveley should be in attendance as without her it wouldn't have been possible, she gave everything to build this club up to where it is now.
It definitely seems that no matter what she does next, Staveley's heart belongs to Newcastle United now, even if she invests in another club as rumoured.
LET'S DO IT FOR MANDY!
