The Pittsburgh Steelers parted ways with outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon. Moon, who came over the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 offseason, was one of the team’s top reserves at outside linebacker. He played primarily on special teams, but did log some snaps at outside linebacker when injuries racked up in the unit.
The Steelers did not extend an Exclusive Rights Free Agent tender by the deadline, meaning Moon is free to sign wherever he wishes. He missed the first month of the season with an ankle injury but returned and played 13 games.
Moon would start one game and posted just nine tackles throughout the season. As a pass rusher, he had four pressures in his opportunities.
The 26-year-old was an undrafted free agent out of Florida in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has 12 tackles and two forced fumbles with the Ravens in 2024.
Now, he hits the open market and the Steelers could look to add some outside linebacker depth at some point in their process, whether it is free agency or through the draft.
