Manchester United are suffering somewhat of an injury crisis with several key players side-lined.

Going into the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 against Real Sociedad, Ruben Amorim is limited in selection options.

The Portuguese manager is without Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo from his regular starting eleven.

Also in the treatment room were regular visitors Mason Mount and Luke Shaw, however Mount has now rejoined team training, though not ready for tonight’s game.

In a bit of a boost for Amorim though, Sociedad aren’t without their own injuries.

Metro has now revealed that the LaLiga side are still without midfielder Luka Sucic going into the vital clash.

Whist the Croatian midfielder started the first leg against United, he has reportedly ruled himself out of the second leg due to a knee injury.

Sociedad’s manager Imanol Alguacil has confirmed Luka Sucic won’t be taking part in the game, with his absence coming as a surprise.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Alguacil commented: “We thought he would be in the squad, but then he told me he couldn’t and he couldn’t make it.”

He continued: “It was a surprise. He will try to recover as soon as possible.”

The teams head into today’s fixture at Old Trafford drawing 1-1 on aggregate, with United desperate for a win.

The Europa League is not only United’s last chance for a trophy this season, but also to secure European football for next season.
