Guilherme Failure Has Killed West Ham Chances of 2nd Wonderkid Transfer

West Ham United have once again been linked with Real Madrid’s Brazilian youngster, Endrick.

This [transfer](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-transfer-news/) rumour first emerged in early January, suggesting a potential loan due to his limited game time at the Bernabéu. However, fresh reports now claim the Hammers could move for Endrick next season.

Several reports in Spain bizarrely suggest that West Ham would be an ideal destination for the 18-year-old to develop. The youngster featured in last night’s Champions League encounter against city rivals Atlético, which was decided by a penalty shootout. However, manager Carlo Ancelotti opted against letting Endrick take a spot-kick, explaining to reporters, _“I didn’t like the look on his face.”_

Personally, I think West Ham’s chances of landing the latest Brazilian wonderkid are slim to none.

Endrick’s close friend, Luiz Guilherme, is already at West Ham but struggling for game time—something Madrid will have surely noticed.

Both players came through the ranks at Palmeiras, represented Brazil at youth level, and remain in close contact.

If Endrick were considering West Ham, he’d likely speak to Guilherme first, and given his experience so far, it’s hard to imagine him encouraging the move. With that in mind, I find this rumour among the least credible and wouldn’t place much faith in it.

That said, I did see a fresh link to Callum Wilson… now that one seems far more realistic.
